Stained Wood Cabinet Refacing
The most common & cost efficient way in cabinet refacing is painting. The process
for a stained wood refacing consist of removing your cabinet doors, drawers, &
hardware. Wraping the exterior of your existing cabinets using a veneer with your
choice of wood species. We then stain & varnish the wood veneer. All doors,
drawers, & fronts are built in our shop (or ordered from local suppliers), stained,
varnished, and then installed. Prices will vary by door sizes & wood species.
Painted or Stained wood?
The decision between painted or stained cabinets should be based off of the look
you are wanting in your home.
wood & paints a smooth finish. MDF doors do not warp or bow as easy as wood
doors do. But MDF does ding & dent alot easier then the wood doors.
Keep in mind that if you are not interested in the MDF material then we can
also build & paint wood doors. We use a high quality oil based paint & even
spray our MDF doors with a lacor finish to help protect against dings & dents.
