Painted Siding
Standard types of paint grade siding is made from pine
wood, hardi-plank, and masonite. Some people want to
paint cedar wood siding because cedar will last longer
than other types of wood in outside weather. Other people
just like the rough rustic wood grain look of cedar but do
not want to keep up the every 3-5 year maintenance.

Stained Siding
Standard type of wood for our stained siding is pine
wood. I like to keep the natural color of cedar wood so
all that I do to cedar is put on two coats of a wood
protective sealant. Some times I'll add a cedar tone color
to the sealant if desired. It is best to repeat this process
every 3-5 years to keep the color of the wood from fading.
We work with and install every type of siding besides
vinyl. We repair and even replace all types of wood siding
but, if you never want to worry about wood rot them I
recommend "Hardi Plank" siding. (cement board) It is a lap
siding and it comes in a variety of sizes. You can also
choose to have it a smooth or wood grain texture. Hardi
Plank siding is no harder to install than wood, it will never
rot, and it is cheaper than most wood siding.
